POS: Enabling NCA Fees (Non-Cash Adjustment)
Setup & Configuration
You will need to enable NCA Fees in the back office. You may also opt to apply tax to the NCA fee here as well. Once you have selected and saved a percentage, your setup is complete.
Please use the guide below for step-by-step instructions on enabling your NCA fee:
NCA Explained
- Non-Cash Adjustment (NCA) is automatically calculated and added to every order BEFORE the customer selects a payment option.
- Customers that pay with cash will then automatically receive a Cash Discount on their order.
Disclosures
Customer Receipts
- Your POS receipt will accurately disclose the total price paid. This includes:
- A separate line item for the NCA amount
- An additional line for the Cash Discount (if the customer pays cash)
Store Signage
- All businesses should clearly disclose that they are utilizing Cash Discounting at their location with visible signage to prevent deceptive pricing.
